Nathaniel Wainwright Greene, 16, is receiving his Eagle Scout Award today, Feb. 10, 2013, in an Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony at St. John’s Lutheran Church following the 11 a.m. worship service. His Scoutmaster, Henry L. Trexler, is making the presentation.
As a Cub Scout in Pack 443 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nathaniel earned the God and Me and God and Family awards, as well as Cub Scouts’ highest award, the Arrow of Light.
As a Boy Scout in Troop 443, Nathaniel has earned 40 merit badges and held positions of Quartermaster, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. Nathaniel is also a member of the Order of the Arrow.
A junior at Salisbury High School, Nathaniel is a member of the National Honor Society, Junior Civitan Club, Young Conservatives and on the AB Honor Roll. He formerly participated with JV Football and Indoor Track.
A member of St. JohnÕs Lutheran Church, Nathaniel is a member of the Senior High Youth Group and the Order of St. JohnÕs.
For his Eagle Scout leadership service project, Nathaniel planned, conducted fund raising and led a team of scouts and volunteers to re-landscape the St. JohnÕs CMC Building. With 39 volunteers and more than 327 service hours, the project entailed removal of aged bushes, working the soil, planting new shrubs, mulching and general spruce up around the perimeter of the building.
Nathaniel is the son of Mike and Angie Greene of Salisbury.
