Mr. and Mrs. Larry Cranford of Cleveland are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth Cranford, to Christopher James Mabry of Miramar, Fla.
Laura is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cranford of Woodleaf, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Steele of Cleveland and the late Nellie Wooten Cranford. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2010 and a Master of Science in Speech and Language Pathology from Appalachian State University in 2012. Laura is a speech language pathologist for Rowan-Salisbury Schools.
Christopher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mabry of Monroe and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mabry of Salisbury. He received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from UNC-Greensboro in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from UNC-Charlotte in 2012. He is a field engineer at Hensel Phelps Construction Co.
The wedding is June 1 at Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on the campus of Catawba College in Salisbury.
