The Salisbury Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who attempted to break into an automated teller machine at a Park Avenue convenience store. The incident occurred March 10 at 1:50 a.m. A black male wearing a blue or black coat with two white stripes down the sleeves and baggy jeans approached the ATM located at the Spee Dee mart store, 402 Park Ave., with a brick concealed beneath the jacket. In an attempt to get into the machine, he broke out the glass monitor. He appears to be in his early 20s with short hair. Officials said no money was take since the suspect did not get into part of the machine where the money is kept.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers 1-866-639-5245.
