WINSTON-SALEM, (AP) — Authorities say two people were on board a small plane that crashed and burned in Winston-Salem.
Local authorities say the plane crashed Sunday afternoon on a private street near the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art. No one on the ground was injured, and no buildings were damaged.
The condition of the two people on board wasn’t immediately available.
Spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen of the Federal Aviation Administration in Atlanta says the plane had left North Wilkesboro and was headed to Washington, N.C.
She says the plane was a fixed-wing Lancair LC-42.
