Mr. and Mrs. Steven Edlin of Greer, S.C., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Edlin, to James Carli, son of Rebecca Carli of Salisbury and David Michael Young of Winston-Salem, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Carli and Dr. D. Clyde and the late Lois R. Young, all of Salisbury.
Ms. Edlin, a graduate of Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, is a graduate student of Diplomacy at Seton Hall University and recently interned with the State Department at the U.S. Mission to the U.N.
Mr. Carli graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in City Planning and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and will finish his Masters in Diplomacy from Seton Hall University in May. He recently interned as a delegate to the Permanent Mission of Malta to the U.N.
The wedding is planned for June 15 in Marietta, S.C.
