Stanton and Sandra Cross of Granite Quarry are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Brian Cross, to Alisa Melton, formerly of Tulsa, Okla.
The future bride is the daughter of Doyle and Patricia Melton of Tulsa. She graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa in 1997; received her Bachelors degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2001; received her MD from OU School of Medicine in 2006; and completed her residency in general surgery at Emory University in 2011. Alisa is currently completing a fellowship in trauma surgery and surgical critical care at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.
The future groom is a 1996 graduate of East Rowan High School; received his Bachelors degree from UNC-Charlotte in 2000; and received his Masters in 2003. He graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2008 and will complete his residency in urologic surgery at Emory University in 2013. He will pursue a fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of Pittsburgh.
The wedding is planned for May 10 at Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega, Ga.
