Authorities are looking into who stole goats valued at more than $1,000 from a China Grove property over the weekend.
Deborah Johnston of the 2000 block of Cannon Road, reported to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office thieves took eight female goats and one ram from her property. Johnston said she fed the animals about 7 p.m. on Friday and then went back to check on them an hour later. Deputies were called and checked the property on Saturday. A fence on the property had been cut.
