SALISBURY — The town of East Spencer held an emergency meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Mayor Barbara Mallett said no action was taken after the closed session.
According to a media notification that the town sent Thursday afternoon, the meeting was called “because of generally unexpected circumstances that require immediate consideration by the public body.”
Those unexpected circumstances include TV news reports Wednesday “which allege personnel questions that require the board’s immediate consideration.” Because the meeting dealt with personnel matters, the town said all discussion was expected to take place in closed session.
