Pedestrian struck in Link Avenue hit and run

Salisbury Police are investigating a hit and run that occurred just after 4 p.m. Monday in front of a home at 305 S. Link Ave.
Timothy Wayne Johnson, 23, of Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, was struck while on foot in front of the home. Police say Johnson was walking toward Innes Street coming from the direction of the Hefner VA Medical Center.
He was responsive at the scene and police are looking for a black Cadillac.
Police say it appears Johnson was hit by the mirror, injuring his right side, including his ribs. He was also scraped and bruised, said Police Capt. Shelia Lingle.
Johnson was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Salisbury Fire Department also responded to the scene. Anyone with information about the crash or may have been a witness is asked to contact the Salisbury Police at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245.
