Charles Earl Barber and Frances Lippard Barber have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married June 27, 1948, at the Cleveland Baptist Church parsonage by Pastor Arthur Stoudemire.
Charles retired from trucking after 41 years, and Frances retired from Celanese after 28 years in the chemical lab.
They have one son, Richard (wife Vickie) Barber. Their grandchildren are Phillip, Jessica and Hala Barber and Devan and Michael (wife Lori) Simmerson; and their great-grandchildren are Cheyenne and Cody Barber and Walker, Sierra, Seth, Carson and Aiden Simmerson.
