Update: The two victims in Saturday’s shooting have been identified by authorities as cousins from Cleveland.
They are Daniel Carlton Redman, 21, of Cedar Glen Circle, and William Thomas Redman, 20, of School St.
No additional information has been released at this time.
Rowan County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the Saturday night shooting death of two people involved in an incident they believe began in Cleveland.
Officials received a call to 1025 Mountain Road, Cleveland around 10:10 p.m. Saturday to investigate a disturbance.
The caller told 911 dispatchers there were several men at the residence with guns. The caller also said shots had been fired and an orange and black “Harley Edition” Ford F350 pickup leaving the residence heading toward Carson Road, a statement said.
A statement was issued shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday and no arrest had been made at that time.
Dispatchers received a call from 520 Hildebrand Road, Salisbury, at about 10:25 p.m. The caller told dispatchers there were two gun shot victims at the location in an orange and black pickup.
Deputies located two males inside the truck who were already dead. Officials have not released the names of the victims at this time.
Investigators with the Cleveland Police Department and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office are conducting interviews and talking with people at both the Cleveland location and Salisbury location, the statement said.
