Authorities charged a third man in a June home break-in where thieves took clothing items, a laptop, a frying pan and a handgun.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged Jhmere Desmond Daniels, 24, of the 1000 block of Pond Court, Kannapolis, on Tuesday with two counts felony breaking and entering a building, two counts felony larceny and two counts larceny of a firearm.
The victim, James McCall, of Sherrills Ford Road, told authorities on June 3 his door was forced open. McCall said someone stole three frying pans, shirts and a bandana, two handguns, two watches, a laptop, ammunition, a 37-inch flat-screen television and a Verizon Wireless mobile hot spot device.
In mid-June deputies said Terrence Alexander, 23, was seen on a pawn shop surveillance video taking a large TV out of a pickup and pawning the appliance. McCall was able to positively identify the property. Phillip Shipp, 23, was charged in early July with involvement in the break-in.
Daniels remains in the Rowan County jail under a $25,000 secured bond. Phillip Shipp also remains in the county jail under a $55,000 secured bond. Terrence Alexander remains in the jail under a $45,000 secured bond.
