Justin Banks Williams of Travelers Rest, S.C., son of Tim and Becky Williams of Faith, is a recent graduate of Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. He received a Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree with highest honors, graduating summa cum laude at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium in Pittsburgh on May 21.
Justin successfully completed and defended his dissertation on powered mobility training for older adults which was submitted in partial fulfillment of his degree’s requirements. He recently submitted a professional publication to OT Practice, a nationally recognized magazine, which will be published in June of 2014.
Justin is a 2001 honor graduate of East Rowan High School; a 2005 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences; and a 2010 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Science.
Justin is employed by Genesis Rehab Services and serves as both Director of Rehabilitation and an Occupational Therapist at the Cascades Verdae, a continuing care retirement community in Greenville, S.C. His speciality lies in upper extremity orthopedics rehabilitation.
