ROCKWELL — A Rockwell man is in jail under $154,000 bond after authorities charged him with numerous drug offenses, as well as resisting arrest and failure to appear in court.
Brandon Keith Moody, 31, of Lower Palmer Road in Rockwell, was arrested Saturday by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and charged with trafficking, possessing and manufacturing methamphetamine. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday and Sept. 30 and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center.
SALISBURY — Terry Glenn Christy Sr. is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $50,000 bond and faces several charges.
Christy, 43, is charged with breaking or entering a building, felony larceny, larceny of a firearm and obtaining property by false pretenses.
He was arrested early Friday morning.
SALISBURY — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office on Friday arrested a Mooresville man who faces drug and weapon charges.
Nicholas Edwin Bumgarner, 29, of Astor Road in Mooresville, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance, possessing a stolen firearm, possessing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, including digital scales and smoke devices.
Authorities say Bumgarner possessed 208 grams of marijuana on Sept. 12, 2012. He is being held on $25,000 bond in the Rowan County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
SALISBURY — James McLaughlin Jr. is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $25,000 bond for drug charges including trafficking heroin or opium and possessing and selling or delivering a controlled substance.
McLaughlin, 60, was arrested Friday morning.
SALISBURY — A Salisbury man faces a variety of charges after his arrest Saturday.
Christopher Ramon-Sanchez, 22, of Briggs Road, is charged with felony larceny, breaking or entering, assault on a female, resisting a public officer and possession of marijuana. Authorities say he took three gold necklaces worth $300 on Aug. 6.
Ramon-Sanchez is being held on $2,500 bond in the Rowan County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday and Sept. 3.
SALISBURY — A 20-year-old Salisbury man faces two charges and is in jail under $6,000 bond.
Tamarcus Dyqwon Canady of Grant Street is charged with felony probation violation and shoplifting. He was arrested late Friday night.

SALISBURY — Salisbury Police charged a man with possession of burglary tools, including a pocket knife, phillips head screwdriver and wire with a loop handle.
Bobby Ray Forbes, 60, of the streets of Salisbury, is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $4,500 bond for the possession charge, as well as failure to appear in court on a different charge.
He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 23.
SALISBURY — The N.C. Highway Patrol arrested a Salisbury man Friday for trying to sell a car he did not own.
Randy Scott Watts, 23, of Castlebrook Drive, is charged with stealing a 1984 Chevrolet El Camino worth $3,800 on July 29, as well as obtaining property by false pretenses.
He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
SALISBURY — The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Salisbury man for several drug-related offenses that authorities say took place April 3.
Michael Allen Morris II, 22, of Parks Road, is charged with trafficking heroin or opium, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture and selling or delivering a controlled substance.
Morris is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
SALISBURY — Michael Edward Bentley, 27, is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $10,000 bond for drug charges.
He is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, trafficking heroin or opium and selling or delivering a controlled substance. He was arrested Thursday night.
CHINA GROVE — A China Grove man posted $2,500 bond after he was charged with a drug offense.
Jason Wyatt Cragett, 30, of Central Avenue in China Grove, is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance.
He was arrested Friday by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
ROCKWELL — A Rockwell man posted $1,500 bond after he was arrested Saturday by Rockwell Police.
Charles Austin Smith, 26, of Cornelius Road in Rockwell, is charged with possessing a stolen firearm, a 9 mm handgun. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Card Fraud charges leveled in Mecklenburg

SALISBURY — A Salisbury resident charged with obtaining property by false pretenses and financial transaction card fraud is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday in Mecklenburg County.
Ebonik Corbett, 24, of Ashbrook Road in Salisbury, posted $1,500 bond and was released from jail after being arrested Saturday.
