ATLANTA (AP) — A police report says that witnesses didn’t see anyone else standing near an Atlanta Braves fan when he fell to his death at the team’s stadium.
The report reflects the account of four eyewitnesses who saw Ronald Lee Homer Jr. fall about 65 feet on Monday night from a fourth-level smoking area into a parking lot for Braves players. The report released Tuesday says there were no cameras in the area.
It describes the fall as accidental.
The report says Homer was unconscious and wasn’t breathing when paramedics arrived after the fall that happened around 8:30. Homer was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Homer, a lifelong Braves fan, had told his mother in a phone call shortly before the accident that he was preparing to head to his seat after a rain delay.
