Another arrest in undercover drug sting

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested another person they say was involved in the illegal sale of prescription medication.
Lawrence Gray Hillard, of Campbell Road, Woodleaf, is charged with three counts of trafficking in heroin or opium; two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance, schedule II; and two counts of sell or deliver a controlled substance, schedule II.
His bond has been set at $50,000. He is scheduled for a first appearance in court today.
The charges stem from an extended undercover operation.
Laura Conrad has also been served with her new charges while still being incarcerated in the N.C. Department of Corrections. The search continues for Jeffery Lane Gurley.
