New Salisbury High principal resigns

SALISBURY — After little more than one year as principal of Salisbury High School, Dr. Avis Williams has resigned.
She has accepted a job as executive director of curriculum and instruction for secondary schools for Guilford County Schools, according to an email she sent to Salisbury High staff.
Williams took over the top spot at Salisbury High last year when Dr. Windsor Eagle retired after more than 30 years in the post.
