SPENCER — A woman has been charged with stealing nearly $7,000 from the Spencer Little League.
Teresa Lynn Seagroves, of Suitt Road, Lillington, is charged with embezzlement, Spencer Police Chief Michael James said in a news release. She was placed in the Rowan County jail under $800 bond, but is not currently listed as an inmate.
James said Seagroves was a Rowan County resident when the embezzlement took place. She was a volunteer and worked at the concession stand for the Little League.
Seagroves is accused of taking $6,943.49 from the Spencer Little League.
