Dennis “Sonny” McClintock and Mary Lou McClintock of Salisbury celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 25, 2013. A dinner was hosted by family members on Oct. 12, 2013, at the Faith Baptist Church McCombs Building.
The McClintocks were married Sept. 25, 1953 in Kent, Ohio. Dennis served four years in the United States Air Force and six years in the reserves. After 32 years of service with Loeblein Brothers Furniture, Dennis worked at Baker Furniture in Mocksville and retired after five years. Mary Lou retired from the VA Medical Center after 32 years of service and went on to work for Rowan-Salisbury School system.
They have four children, Sheri Hamrick and husband William of Taylorsville, Gary McClintock and wife Debbie, Michael McClintock and Lisa Johnson and husband Mike, all of Salisbury. They have eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
