Cabarrus County investigators have charged a grounds maintenance worker for Cabarrus County Schools with felony indecent liberties with a child.
Officials say Michael Wayne Osborne, 40, was arrested on Friday, and had posed as a 14-year-old girl on Facebook, soliciting nude photos of teenage boys.
Detectives with the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office said thus far seven children have been identified as victims in this case. The victims are located in Cabarrus and Cumberland counties as well as Illinois.
Osborne was suspended by the Cabarrus County School System prior to his arrest. He also coached many athletic teams for middle schools throughout Cabarrus County. The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office is working with school officials to identify all potential victims.
Osborne remains in the Cabarrus County jail under a $150,000 bond.
