B-17 Bomber set to land at airport Monday

One of the few flying B-17 Bombers, “The Aluminum Overcast,” is set to land at the Rowan County Airport on Monday morning about 11 a.m. “The schedule is subject to change, but 11 a.m. is the best estimate at this time. The public is invited to attend the landing,” said Jack Neubacher, EAA President.
The bomber will be on hand at the airport throughout the week with tours and rides available. A dance honoring World War ll veterans will be held on Tuesday evening. Additional special activities are planned.
