Shepherd 50th Anniversary

Ernest and Patsy Shepherd of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at Trading Ford Baptist Church, which was given by their children. The Shepherds were married Oct. 20, 1963, at Trading Ford Baptist with the Rev. Banks Mullis officiating.
Ernest was a fireman for the city of Salisbury for four years and then retired from KoSa after 31 years. Patsy was a teacher at Wiley Elementary School for three years and retired from North Hills Christian School after 29 years teaching.
The Shepherds’ children are Ray Shepherd (wife Jerry Beth) of Lincolnton, Cher Shue (husband Greg) of Salisbury and Kari Shepherd of Salisbury.
Their grandchildren are Brett Shepherd, U.S. Navy; Brandon Shepherd, Concord; Garrett and Alyssa Shue, Salisbury; and Noah Shepherd, Lincolnton. Their great-grandsons are Houston Slade Shepherd of Gastonia and Jacob Alexander Shepherd of Virginia Beach, Va.
