A man remains hospitalized after he and two others were shot following a party at 1440 Center St.
The incident occurred Saturday at 2:30 a.m.
Salisbury Police were sent to 1440 N. Long St. regarding shots being fired there. The officer heard the gunshots while en route, but the parking lot was empty by the time the officer arrived.
Officials at Novant Rowan Medical Center contacted the police regarding three gunshot victims who were at the hospital.
Police say Thomas Gaither, 31, was shot in the leg, Rashedia Woodberry, 20, was shot on the back of the hand and index finger, and John Thomas Leach, 31, was shot multiple times. Gaither and Woodberry were treated and released.
Leach was shot three times in the back and also in the hip and elbow. Leach was flown via helicopter to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, where he remains. He was on a respirator Saturday, said Police Capt. Shelia Lingle.
The victims say the party was over and everyone was leaving when a physical altercation began and then shots were fired.
