CHINA GROVE — Christmas is coming to downtown China Grove as the town prepares for an event next Friday that will include hot chocolate, music and other holiday cheer.

Downtown merchants will offer refreshments, door prizes and sales, while the town will offer horse-drawn wagon rides and musical entertainment. Local organizations will be providing hot cups of cider and hot chocolate. The China Grove Police and Fire departments will provide popcorn and candy.
The Carson High School Brass Quintet will perform. Donations will be accepted for the wagon rides, which are provided by Lazy 5 Ranch. Santa Claus will visit with kids who want to share their Christmas lists.
The town is also collecting new and slightly used jackets for Main Street Mission, as well as canned goods. China Grove Police are assisting a displaced military family by collecting toys and food.
The following businesses are sponsors for the event: F&M Bank, Edward Jones, Doby’s Upholstery and the South Rowan Historical Society Roller Mill.
