The city of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays:
• City office buildings, including the Salisbury Customer Service Center and all four recreation centers, will be closed Tuesday through Thursday and Jan. 1.
• Solid Waste Division will not collect garbage and recycling Wednesday. Collection will occur one day behind schedule through Saturday.
• Street Division will not collect limbs or leaves Tuesday through Thursday, or Jan. 1.
• Transit Division will operate from 9:30 a.m. – 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Transit service will not operate on Wednesday or Jan. 1.
• Fibrant Technical Support will maintain regular hours. For assistance, customers may call 704-216-7567.
• Salisbury Rowan Utilities’ administrative offices will be closed Tuesday through Thursday and Jan. 1. If you have a water/sewer emergency after hours or during the holiday, call 704-638-5339.
• Salisbury Community Park will be closed on Wednesday and Jan. 1 and will otherwise maintain regular hours of 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Other local government closings and schedule changes include:
• Spencer Town Hall will be closed Tuesday through Thursday. Garbage collection will occur on Monday and Tuesday only. The Wednesday garbage route will be picked up Tuesday.
Town Hall will be closed Jan. 1. For garbage pickup the week of New Year’s Day, Monday and Tuesday routes will operate on a normal schedule. Wednesday’s route will be picked up Jan. 2.
• Rowan County offices will be closed Tuesday through Thursday for Christmas.
The county’s environmental services office and processing center will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The landfill will be closed Wednesday only.
The Julian Road recycling center will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The office and processing center, landfill and Julian Road recycling center will also be closed on New Year’s Day.
• Cleveland Town Hall will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as New Years Day. Trash collection will not be affected, but recycling will be picked up on Monday, Dec. 23.
• Faith Town Hall will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as New Years Day.
• Rockwell Town Hall will be closed Tuesday through Thursday and New Years Day. Trash collection will not be affected.
• Kannapolis city offices will be closed Tuesday through Thursday and New Years Day. Trash will not be collected on Christmas Day. Collection scheduled for that day will be done Dec. 26, and collection will be one day late the rest of the week.
• Landis Town Hall will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, but will reopen Thursday at 8 a.m. The office will be closed on Friday for furlough and on New Years Day. Trash collection will not be affected. Police and Fire service will continue as normal.
• China Grove Town Hall will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Wednesday trash collection will be picked up on Thursday and Thursdays trash collecton will be picked up on Friday.
