Vohn Nelson Peeler Sr. and Gayle Wortham Peeler of Faith are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, Dec. 22, 2013. They were married Dec. 22, 1963, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury by the Rev. Karl M. Park.
Vohn retired from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College after 34 years of service. Gayle retired from the City of Salisbury after 30 years of service.
The Peelers’ children are V. Nelson Peeler Jr. (wife Lorie) of China Grove and Julie Peeler Shull (husband Greg) of Salisbury. Their grandchildren are Matthew Peeler, Emily Peeler, Avery Shull and Aiden Shull.
