Police are still looking for a robbery suspect who shot and wounded a Salisbury man early Saturday morning. The victim, whom the Post is not naming because the suspect is still at large, was shot in the back of the neck and cheek.
The victim, 60, was believed to be walking to an automated teller machine near the 300 block of Partee Street just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning.
Authorities say someone attempting to rob him came up to the victim. It is not clear if the suspect stole anything from the victim, who is believed to have not had any money, said Salisbury Police Sgt. J.M. Robertson.
The victim was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where he remains in stable condition.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salisbury Police at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
