Harold Wayne Morgan and Doris Virginia Dunn Morgan of Rockwell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Jan. 8, 2014, at a dinner in Charlotte with their son Jonathan Lee Morgan and his wife Ginger; and a special friend, Patty Morris.
They were married Jan. 8, 1954, at Ephesus Baptist Church in Dunnsville, Va., by the Rev. Cecil Carter.
Harold retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service and then worked 17 years in the textile industry. Doris was a registered nurse, retiring after 18 years of service.
The Morgans also have two other sons, Michael Wayne Morgan of Horse Shoe and Robert Leith Morgan of Marble Head, Ohio.
They have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
