SPENCER — Firefighters were called to a house fire late Wednesday night, but the fire was reported out by the time they arrived.
The first call about the fire at 1017 3rd St. came in at 11:46 p.m. When the first crews arrived, they reported seeing no flames but heavy smoke coming from the home. They worked to clear the residence of smoke after midnight.
