SALISBURY — Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab will host its 30th Annual Quilt Show Feb. 16-18.
Area quilters have shown more than 2,500 quilted items in the show over the last 29 years.
The Salisbury-Rowan Quilters Guild and the Starry Nights Quilters Group (both of Salisbury) support the exhibit by displaying work.
Quilts are being collected and inventoried for this year. Attempts are made to identify unknown patterns. Each quilt is recorded in a printed directory, which viewers refer to during the show.
Quilts are carefully stored until the show. Docents are present during the show and viewers are required to wear gloves as they walk through. Quilts are locked up at night.
Individuals as well as groups are invited to show quilts. If you are interested in exhibiting a quilt or setting up a demonstration, contact Brenda Zimmerman at 704-603-2770.
Quilts can be registered over the phone. Items for the show must be turned in by Feb. 12, and may be picked up on the afternoon of Feb. 18.
Admission is free.
The show will be in the Special Events Room at Trinity Oaks Retirement, located on Klumac Road, just off the Jake Alexander Boulevard exit off I-85.
The exhibit will be open 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Feb. 17 and 18.
