Mr. and Mrs. Gary J. Lofthus of Salisbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Anderson, to Charles Jacob “CJ” Mincey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Mincey of Wilmington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred O Shanks of Danville, Va., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald C. Lofthus. A graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and Regent University School of Law, Carrie is an attorney with Baker & Colby PLLC in Wilmington.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Martha W. Tola of Raleigh, the late Mr. Jacob J. Tola, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles P. Mincey of Mullins, S.C. CJ studied Marine Technology at Cape Fear Community College. He is employed by Coastal Beverage Company Inc. as a pre-sales representative in Wilmington.
The wedding is May 17 at Wrightsville United Methodist Church in Wrightsville Beach.
