The Rowan County Airport Advisory Board has organized a special meeting slated for 10 a.m. Friday in the airport’s conference room.
The purpose of the meeting will be reviewing the limited fixed-base operator agreements for Jaime Javurek, Amos Aviation and Piedmont Skydiving.
Board members also will receive updates on current airport projects and discuss airport policies.
Rowan County Board of Commissioners Chairman Jim Sides said he is looking forward to extending the airport’s runway, thus allowing larger jets to use the airport and potentially attracting a major tenant to fill the new hangar.
