Farmers’ Appreciation Breakfast March 13

The N.C. Cooperative Extension Service will sponsor a Farmers’ Appreciation Breakfast from 7 to 8:30 a.m. March 13 at Salem Lutheran Church.
The breakfast is a joint effort of Cooperative Extension Service and the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Committee to honor the farmers who make a large contribution to the culture and economy of Rowan County. The featured speaker is Dr. Richard Reich, deputy director of the N.C. Department of Agriculture.
Growers are encouraged to come enjoy the fellowship and learn about the “Changing Face of North Carolina Agriculture” The event, which includes a “down home” breakfast featuring locally grown products, is free to all farmers in Rowan County.
