South Rowan shot 167 and nipped East Rowan (168) and Salisbury (171) in a match at the Country Club of Salisbury. North Rowan shot 227.
Salisbury’s Eric Edwards shot 34 for medalist honors.
South’s scorers were Davis Richards (37), Brennan Lambert (42), Josh Pope (43) and Evan Neas (45).
Scorers for East were Logan Shuping (36), Nick Lyerly (37), Ben Rollins (47) and Jacob Durham (48).
Scorers for Salisbury were Edwards (34), Chris Queen (42), Gabe Steinman 946) and John Murphy (49).

Local golf
The Salisbury High atheletics department wil hold a fundraising golf tournament on Saturday, May 31, at Corbin Hills. There will be an 8:30 shotgun start.

• In the weather-plagued eGolf Tour NorthStone Open in Huntersville, Frank Adams III is tied for eighth at 1-under after two rounds. He’s shot 73-68 — 141.
Will Collins shot 72-74 — 146. Russ Adams has shot 76-88 — 164. Johnny Kyger shot 80 in the first round.
A number of golfers couldn’t finish their second round on Thursday because of late starts and darkness.
•The Irish Creek Collegiate is set for April 4-6.
The field include UNC, Duke, East Carolina, Wake Forest, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Davidson and many more.
Middle school golf
Michael Childress shot 34 and led Sacred Heart to a win.
The Dolphins shot 174 to top Salisbury Academy (203) and Newton-Conover (219).
Other scorers for Sacred Heart were Alex Antosek (40), Will Taylor (49) and Eric Turnbull (51).
Salisbury Academy scorers were Charlie Barr (46), Hank Robins (50), George Fisher (53) and Mitch Jeter (54).
