Police busted four people on felony charges Wednesday while executing a search warrant on the 500 block of East Lafayette Street.
In addition to 3.7 grams of crack cocaine and half a gram of marijuana, authorities seized three sets of scales, $240 in cash and three handguns — one of which had the serial number filed off.
The Salisbury Police Department charged the following:
Deante Lamont Banks, 22, of the 300 block of South Caldwell Street, with felony weapon violations, felony failure to appear or comply and misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun. He received a $42,500 secured bond and was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Akeem Oliajwong Evans, 25, of the 1100 block of Barbour Street, with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell/deliver controlled substances and misdemeanor injury to personal property. He received a $20,500 secured bond and was placed in the county jail.
Christopher Evandal Edward Evans, 23, of the 500 block of East Lafayette Street, with felony altering, destroying or removing identification marks to personal property and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. He received a $2,500 secured bond and was placed in the county jail.
Aurora Lechelle Fudge, 32, of the 500 block of East Lafayette Street, with felony altering, destroying or removing identification marks to personal property. She received a $2,500 secured bond and was placed in the county jail.
Authorities said Banks was running out the back door and was carrying a firearm.
“The two Evans’ had two of the guns in the house, and one of those was the one with the serial numbers filed down,” Police Capt. Shelia Lingle said.
Akeem Evans had an outstanding warrant for the injury to personal property charge, Lingle said.
