Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close Clark Road near Bringle Ferry Road east of Salisbury next week to replace a crossline drainage pipe under the roadway.
Clark Road will close at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 14, and will remain closed for the duration of the work, which is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9.
Local traffic will be able to access homes and businesses from either end of Clark Road, but will not be able to pass beyond the closure points on either side of the work area. Motorists traveling through the area will use Bringle Ferry Road as the signed detour route.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
