Federal fugitive arrested in Salisbury home

On Friday, April 11, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) arrested Damon Leshawn Cole, aka “Damony Lashawn Cole,” aka “Calvin Lawayne Scott,” on an outstanding federal aArrest warrant/bill of indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Cole was arrested at a residence at 414 Ashbrook Road. According to the bill of Indictment, the events for which Cole was charged occurred in Guilford County, in the Middle District of North Carolina, on Jan. 26, 2012.
Following the arrest, Cole was turned over to special agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration, pending an initial appearance in federal court.
