A Salisbury woman was charged Monday with simple assault after warrants say she punched a neighbor in the face and attempted to throw the woman off a porch banister.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office served a private arrest warrant against Naticia Lavette Murray, 35, of the 700 block of Lincolnton Road, for simple assault, communicating threats, and breaking and entering, all of which are misdemeanors. The incident occurred April 3, but warrants were served Monday. The victim lives on the same block as Murray, whose name is also listed as Natasha Murray. A warrant said Murray threatened to burn the victim’s house down and have her son beat up the victim’s son. She also broke into a building the victim owned. Murray was not issued a bond.
