SALISBURY — All Salisbury residents interested in the appearance, safety and improvement of neighborhoods are invited to attend the spring meeting of the Neighborhood Leaders Alliance.
The group will meet at 4 p.m. April 29 at One Water Street.
Tentatively, the agenda includes orientation for the 2014 BlockWork project. BlockWork will be held on Oct. 25, National Make a Difference Day. This will be the fourth year the Neighborhood Leaders Alliance and the city’s Community Appearance Commission host BlockWork.
BlockWork this year will resume accepting applications for a specific block in a neighborhood that could use a day of focused volunteer effort to paint, landscape, repair and more. Applications will be available at the meeting.
The Neighborhood Leaders Alliance also will hear an update from the city’s Housing Advocacy Commission and information on the Oct. 16 Fair Housing Workshop, as well as the status of the proposed nuisance animal ordinance.
The alliance will discuss repeat occurrences of criminal activity calls to the same addresses and would like meeting participants to bring with them any concerns or topics of interest to neighborhoods.
