One of bluegrass music’s most esteemed artists will revisit Rowan Public Library.
The next act in the Cheerwine Music Hour series, Wayne Henderson, is no stranger to the stage or Rowan County. Henderson has appeared several times at Rowan Public Library, and will return to the stage in a few short weeks. Henderson’s top-notch finger-picking is a source of great pleasure and pride to his friends, family and neighbors in Grayson County, Va. His guitar playing has also been enjoyed at Carnegie Hall, the White House, in three national tours of Masters of the Steel-String Guitar, and in seven Asian nations. In addition to his reputation as a musician, Henderson is a master guitar and mandolin artisan. Henderson notes that “anytime someone will sit down and listen to me play, it’s an exciting gig.”
Please join us on Thursday, May 15, in the Stanback Auditorium of Rowan Public Library. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Please use the entrance closest to the historic Henderson Law Office. Visit www.rowanpubliclibrary.org or call 704-216-8240 for more information.
The Cheerwine Music Hour, a concert series dedicated to highlighting roots of music and bringing the community together, has been made possible through funding from Cheerwine and Friends of Rowan Public Library.
