A Salisbury woman was cited for marijuana possession after a Salisbury Police officer stopped her for driving with her headlights off. The woman told the officer the car was new and she was unfamiliar with all of its functions.
Sherelle Pearson, 27, was stopped around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Gold Hill Drive and Old Concord Road. Pearson dropped her license in between the door and driver’s seat. When she opened the door to retrieve her license the officer could see a small amount of marijuana in a plastic bag near the door handle. A report said she had 1 gram. Pearson was charged with simple possession of marijuana. She was cited and released.
