Teen charged at South Rowan with drug trafficking

A 16-year-old has been charged with drug trafficking after an undercover operation.
On Thursday, Austin Hunter Graham, 16, of Pinewood Street, Kannapolis, was arrested at South Rowan High School after School Resource Officer Linn found Graham in possession of a residue amount of heroin. Linn contacted Rowan County Sheriff’s Detective D. Whitley, who charged Graham with two counts of trafficking opiates by possession and two counts of trafficking opiates by sale, following an undercover operation in which Graham allegedly sold hydrocodone to an undercover officer on two separate dates, Jan. 23 and March 17.
Graham was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $10,000 secured bond, pending a first appearance in court today.
