Gold Hill man charged with unruly behavior during arrest

A Gold Hill man is facing charges for unruly behavior during his arrest and processing this weekend.
Billy Ray Drye, 39, is charged with two counts of resisting a public officer and one count of communicating threats.
According to police reports, Drye pulled away from the arresting officer while being handcuffed, then made verbal threats to him.
During processing, Drye attempted to get out of the car after being told to stay in the vehicle. He also kicked at the officer and spit at him.
Drye is being held at the Rowan County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.
