Wilton Ellis Young and Kathleen Powell Young of Salisbury celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.
The Youngs were married June 22, 1947, during a noon ceremony in Conway, S.C. Mr. Young retired from Cone Mill in 1989 after 15 years of service and North Carolina Finishing Co. after 28 years of faithful service. Mrs. Young retired as an outreach worker with The Salisbury Rowan Community Service Council.
Their children are Donna Young Weaver and husband David of Charlotte, Robert Ellis Young and wife Carol of Rockwell, Douglas Young and wife Kay and Loretta Young Bogle and husband Rick, all of Salisbury.
They have seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
