Rowan County Sheriff’s authorities were called to a Dogwood Court home regarding a dispute over a dog between neighbors. Officials said a man threatened to shoot the woman, her son and her dog.
The victim’s dog got loose and her son went outside to look for him.
Deputies charged Michael Jarrett Wiggins, 48, of Magnolia Drive, with communicating threats and drunk and disruptive.
The victim called 911 because her neighbor was in her front yard. She believed he had a gun. Deputies found him stumbling in the roadway. He was intoxicated, a report said.
He was babbling about things that didn’t make sense, said Capt. John Sifford.
He was issued a $3,000 secured bond.
Deputies found a collapsible razor in Wiggins’ pocket.

• A man reported Friday someone broke into his home and stole multiple items in the 100 block of Ashley Drive.
• A man reported Friday someone physically assaulted him in the 200 block of Gracie Lane, Mooresville.
• A woman reported Saturday someone used her vehicle without permission in the 1200 block of Mount Moriah Church Road, Landis.

• Jeremy Daniel Thomas, 33, was charged Friday in the 9200 block of Castor Road with maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for controlled substance.
• Sherman Leavenworth, 54, was charged Friday in the 200 block of Wingate Lane, Rockwell, with assault on a female.
• Oliver Wade Cunningham, 21, was charged Friday at White Road near Mooresville Road and again at Mooresville Road near White Road, Cleveland with felony fleeing to elude arrest.
