According to scanner traffic, around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday morning, units responded to a fatal single-vehicle wreck on 8740 Castor Road. Reponders on the scene reported a car off the roadway in the ditch. Crews were working to get another patient out of the vehicle, who was later transported to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
