Hoyt M. McCachren Jr. and Minnie Alexander McCachren of Salisbury celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 26, 2014, with a family celebration. They were married June 26, 1954, at Rocky River Presbyterian Church in Concord by the Rev. George Wilcox.
Retired from Catawba College, Hoyt was a professor of Theater Arts. Also retired from Catawba, Minnie was director of Student Health Services.
The McCachrens have four children, Renee McCachren of Salisbury; Jon Hoyt McCachren of Cleveland; Amelia Leigh McCachren of Salisbury; and Scot Alexander McCachren of Morristown, N.J.
The have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
