Joe L. Gallimore and Barbara Murray Gallimore of Rockwell celebrated their 50th anniversary with a family dinner. They were married July 4, 1964, at Ursinus United Church of Christ in Rockwell by the Rev. James Cress. Mr. Gallimore retired in 2004 after 40 years of faithful service with Cannon Mills, Plant 4 in Kannapolis and three years of faithful service at the East Rowan YMCA in Rockwell. Mrs. Gallimore retired in 2007 after 30 years of faithful service as senior cartographer at the Rowan County Assessor’s Office. Their children are Danny Gallimore (wife Angie) of Rockwell and Lorie Gallimore Vance (husband Stan) of Supply. They have two grandchildren, Amber Vance and Wesley Vance; two step-grandchildren Kendall Hartford and Brittany Hartford; and three step-great-grandchildren.
