John Wilson and Barbara Crisco Wilson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 27, 2014. Celebrations included a honeymoon trip to Savannah, Ga., and a renewal of vows followed by a reception at the home and garden of sister-in-law of the groom Irene Huffman. The Wilsons were married June 27, 1964, at the China Grove First Baptist Church parsonage by the Rev. R.O. Brinkley. John retired from Fredrickson Motor Lines and DSL Truck Driving. Barbara retired from South Rowan Academy. Their children are Wayne (Angela, Hunter and Hayden) Wilson, China Grove; Lisa (Roger and Colt) Gregg, Landis; and Kim (Mike, Sydney and Mary-Kaitlin) Huffman, Salisbury.
