Dream come true for Rowan Little League Softball
The parents of the 13 young ladies who have won the title of North Carolina State Softball Little League Champions in the 9/10-year-old division would like to thank the community for their generosity and support.
These 13 girls, along with their families, traveled to the Regional Tournament in Clarksville, Tenn., on Friday to compete against Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia and South Carolina. The skills of these Rowan County girls got them to this point, but it is the generosity and support of this community that will ultimately get them there.
There are no words to express the enormous amount of love and support we have felt and received from this community in our efforts to raise the funds to make this “once in a lifetime” trip for the girls. We wish to thank each and every individual that gave any amount toward this dream. We are humbled by the support and enthusiasm demonstrated within the community.
The girls will very proudly wear “North Carolina” across their jersey, but more proudly they will be representing our generous and caring community of Rowan County. Thanks for helping this dream to come true for these young ladies!
